In case you were wondering (Not just you Sylvia :P ), the floods are all around us. However we are not cut off; and we didn't get cut off, just. The waters cut the road south to Murwillumbah and almost cut the road an Chinderah. However there was a break in the rain that coincided with the high tide, and so the waters didn't get much above the road level.
It seems like the low is not affecting us as much today, so we may have seen the worst of it. Most of the flooding is upstream in the tweed and it seems to be dropping now.
We seem to be used to the weather here now. I don't mind sleeping in 26C and 92% humidity. I used to think that was a bit sticky. Is this what they call going troppo?

Yep, you have definitely gone troppo, I'm afraid I just couldn't cope with that sort of humidity. I hope you're still safely above the high water mark, thinking of you both xxx
